Salem Community College - Salem County Peace Center
Housed within the Michael S. Cettei Memorial Library of the Salem Community College, The Peace Center is a special collection of books, videos, photographs, sound recording and computer files that address issues of racial and social inequality and conflict. The goals of the Peace Center is to reduce bias, bigotry, discrimination and intolerance by providing training programs in these areas for teachers and the community; coordinating organizations involved in fostering peace; and providing a neutral location for conflict resolution. It is hoped the Peace Center will reach out and help people from varied backgrounds in order to respect and value diversity.
